hey peeps, whats up?
so will there be a volume II or not?
I can now accept songs via e-mail or if you send me links I can download them from wherever++++++
that should help save time and trouble for anyone who wants to submit stuff. I still like the idea of getting physical packages from you all but time is always of the essence these days.
I say we submit songs now and shoot for early an early November release. We still haven't decided 100% on a theme or any of that yet though. So, do we bog ourselves down trying to decide on that or do you all want to just send me your songs and I'll get the compilation together and we can pick out the album art and all that later?
Like I've said before, we can do 100 of these compilations so I don't see a huge need for themes and a lot of specifics.
Are any of you even still interested in a volume II?

still I'm not able to get the yousendit files to open...
anyone know why?
if not link me to myspace pages or wherever I can download it or e-mail me MP3's- if I can figure out how to get yousendit files to open I'll eventually accept those- right now though, I'm not able to do anything with those...  |

no, these should be original songs. i think the impulse on fan-based msgbrds is to do a cover comp, which could be fun for next time... (?)

FYI, for those of you who have stuff on a myspace page, if you have enabled people to download your songs from there- just link me to your page and I can get your songs this way- which will take no effort on your parts.
next week sometime I hope to get a yousendit account or whatever so you all have the most ease in submitting your songs as possible.
I'm going to go ahead and set the cutoff date for submitting songs at October 31 (hollindagain).... so look for collected animals volume II around the first week of November or there abouts...
I'm going to be tweaking my label page soon too so it should be easier to order too. I'll repost that link in the near future. hope this all goes as good if not better than last time.
thanks in advance to all those who will participate in vol. II... I'm already excited to hear what you all have been coming up with in the last few months...
oh yea, and please no covers- maybe we can do a covers comp. sometime but lets keep it all original this time... i think thats way more interesting |

| yea originals are way better, i just figured because its usually covers on mesageboards as you said. i told my friend about this and he thought we would submit our own songs, and ac would cover them. which would be hilarious and awesome. |

I have tracks from okay shark, peterhernandez, ruddiger (langdon?- I think), sheepdog and simonnewcomb (oh static) + there will be a new antlers track on there as my contribution.

cough cough. and he mentioned in a previous post that the sky's the limit as to how many of these things we do. maybe by CAVOLXIII we'll start doing AC covers. |

| well, what was cool about the last one was how little like ac it sounded. there was a common aesthetic thread that ran through the songs, but most of us were surprised by how varied it was. submit whatever you think is awesome, and it'll be awesome. |

as of last night I had 11 (12 including mine) songs for volume II. I'm still waiting on a few people who sent stuff last time but ???
its going to be good though-I can tell you that. there is a common yet varied aesthetic (oh static rejoice) to Volume II that should gel ever better than vol. I as an album
anybody who wishes to submit any album art should do so soon and unfortunately I'd like the decision to be unanimous or highest vote getter or something. remember, please make your designs black and white to keep copying costs low.
